I have been working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities my entire professional life. I am a NYS Licensed Speech Pathologist, and I still practice in this field.I have worked at IAHD for many years, and my position in the organization has expanded to include innovative supports. I became a broker because I loved working with people and families to offer them supports that are flexible and that allow them more control over their own lives. I am also a certified Personal Outcomes Measures Trainer and it just made logical sense to help people identify their hopes and dreams and then use self‐direction to help them pursue those dreams. I have helped children and adults, and the families know that they can count on me to help. Communication, Personal Outcome Measures and Self‐Direction.. it just all comes together for a better quality of life.
