My name is Jeanne Englert and I am the mother of a 20 year old multi handicap young man who attends the Hungerford school main site. I first became interested in self direction for my son, but as I learned more about it, I decided that I was interested in helping and assisting other families on this path. I have been an active participant in the special needs community serving on the Executive Board of the Staten Island Disability Council for the last several years, and I am also co-chair for the Family Transition Fair sponsored by the council. I continue to be active in the schools PTA and the schools leadership team. I look forward to continue to work with families, as they journey on this path for their loved ones.
